Shanaz Ikonne, PLLC

Hello, I'm Shanaz
(she/her/hers) pronounced: shah-nawz
Licensed Professional Counselor
LPC #73271 Administered by: Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors
I’m a second generation South Asian American, social justice advocate, and licensed professional counselor/board certified. I’m also a wife, fierce mama and Texas therapist serving BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ populations.
As a therapist, I help folx find their footing when they feel detached, unseen and unheard. I am passionate about serving women, mothers, and young professionals, in addition to those with trauma wounding.
"It's hard to function at your best when you don’t feel like yourself."
Everyone has a story to share and counseling helps identify those barriers, creates room for healing and an opportunity to evolve and grow.
We often repeat what we don’t repair and I’m here to help you find a solution that creates meaningful change. So let’s break some generational chains, barriers and anything holding you back from being your most authentic self.
You are worthy of being seen, heard, and understood.
I operate from a holistic mind-body approach and a trauma-informed framework.
Together, we will work closely to notice what struggles you are facing and what their underlying causes are at the core.
Then we will try to change the behaviors and thought patterns that are keeping you from being the person you want to be.

"In the hearts of all mankind, of whatever race or station in life, there are inexpressible longings for something they do not now possess. This longing is implanted in the very constitution of man by a merciful God, that man may not be satisfied with his present conditions or attainments, whether bad, or good, or better. God desires that the human shall seek the best, and find it to the eternal blessing of his soul."
Desire of Ages, Preface - Ellen G. White
