Shanaz Ikonne, PLLC

Hello, I'm Shanaz
(she/her/hers) pronounced: shah-nawz
Licensed Professional Counselor
LPC #73271 Administered by: Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors
I'm a licensed therapist, mom, and burnout survivor myself. I built this practice because I know what it feels like to be the helper who needed help and didn't realize it because as women we find ways to push through and get things done.
For over 12 years I've walked alongside women navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, postpartum struggles, and the quiet exhaustion of trying to do everything for everyone.
I specialize in trauma-informed and somatic approaches, which means we don't just talk about what happened to you. We help your body actually let it go.
I offer virtual therapy to women across Texas, and I'm accepting new clients now.
My work has been featured at the University of Texas, Parents.com, and Asian Mental Health Collective, Medium, Aol.com.
Recognized by my community for Best in Small Biz Guide 2023 and Best in Birth, 2024, Best in Birth 2025, and Community Impact Award 2026.
I offer coaching sessions worldwide and digital products to enhance your well-being.
You don't need it all figured out to start healing.
Everyone has a story to share and counseling helps identify those barriers, creates room for healing and an opportunity to evolve and grow.
We often repeat what we don’t repair and I’m here to help you find a solution that creates meaningful change. So let’s break some generational chains, barriers and anything holding you back from being your most authentic self.
You are worthy of being seen, heard, and understood.
Over the last 12+ years, I've worked with THOUSANDS of women across Texas who came in exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure if anything could actually change.
Spoiler: it can. And it does.
My clients are women who are managing careers, kids, relationships, grief, and their own inner critic, often all at once.
You are not broken. You are burned out. You're doing the most, and your nervous systems are paying the price.
I specialize in trauma-informed therapy, brainspotting, and somatic approaches, which means I work with the whole person, not just the thoughts in your head. Because anxiety lives in your body.
Burnout lives in your body. And that's where real healing begins.
I operate from a holistic mind-body approach and a trauma-informed framework.
Together, we will work closely to notice what struggles you are facing and what their underlying causes are at the core.
Then we will try to change the behaviors and thought patterns that are keeping you from being the person you want to be.

"In the hearts of all mankind, of whatever race or station in life, there are inexpressible longings for something they do not now possess. This longing is implanted in the very constitution of man by a merciful God, that man may not be satisfied with his present conditions or attainments, whether bad, or good, or better. God desires that the human shall seek the best, and find it to the eternal blessing of his soul."
Desire of Ages, Preface - Ellen G. White
